Norms and Expectations for Ms. Alfaro's Class
The following are norms and expectations to ensure your success in my class!
1. R-E-S-P-E-C-T
In my class we always respect each other. That includes respect for me and respect for your classmates. No exceptions!
2. Readiness
Readiness Means:

Come to class prepared to learn

Be on time
3. Attention
Pay attention and follow instructions
4. Responsibility
Responsibility Means:

You work hard and take responsibility for your work

You advocate for yourself when you have a question, don't understand something, or need to speak to me about a grade

You participate in class
5. 10-Minute Rule
10 minute rule: You cannot use the restroom the first 10 minutes or last ten minutes of class
No bathroom passes during notes

Class Structure

Grading
You are responsible for your own work
Recovery
Any test less than 70% can be recovered up to a maximum score of 79%.
Only summative assignments may be recovered.
Late Work

It is your responsibility to make-up missing assignments if you were absent

Late work or make-up work will only be accepted during the unit they are assigned and the unit immediately after for a maximum grade of 60%. (Better than a zero...)
